Advisory board guides Georgia public health campaign

A 31-member advisory board, which includes representatives of many of Georgia’s best-known community, education and health organizations, is guiding a campaign aimed at educating policy makers and the public about the need to reinvest in and rebuild the state’s public health system.
Kids Enabled™ Hosts Brain Health and Nutrition Speaker Series

The educational seminar will take place on September 23 at Schenck School from 6 - 9 p.m. In keeping with the organization's vision to create an informed community where all children with learning differences have the resources to reach their full potential, the seminar will feature keynote speaker, Sherry Pruitt, MEd, ET/P, who will share her knowledge of and experience with executive dysfunction.

Music and film star Tim McGraw will take Atlanta’s stage on Oct. 2, 2010, to accept the True Ally Award at the 2010 Men Stopping Violence Annual Awards Dinner. The Men Stopping Violence Annual Awards Dinner recognizes individuals who have dedicated time and resources to fostering safety and justice for women. The dinner is the primary annual fundraiser for Men Stopping Violence (www.menstoppingviolence.org).
