Mary Ware Scholarship Accepting Applications

The Mary Ware Scholarship is now accepting applications for the 2012-2013 Freshman year. The Mary Ware Scholarship was formed in memory of the late Mary Ware because of her love of children in need. The Scholarship provides financial grants for qualified recipients to attend a range of Georgia institutions for higher learning including traditional colleges and universities and trade schools. These grants will go to deserving Georgia High School graduates who meet specific criteria as directed by the Mary Ware Scholarship Fund with a focus on children who are "at risk", do not qualify for other grant options and can demonstrate strong financial need.
Come Watch the Hudgens ‘Bloom’

Take a talented artist, give them a theme of flower subjects, and amazing things happen. You will see this at 'Bloom! An Invitational Exhibition Featuring Steve Penley,' a regional, themed exhibit including works by artists from throughout the Southeast, opening at the Hudgens Center for the Arts on Thursday, March 1. Two companion exhibits will open at the same time, including 'Buds! Children's Flower Artwork Invitational,' and 'Blossoms! Emerging Talent from North Gwinnett High School.' All three exhibits will be on display through May 12, and are sponsored by Primerica Foundation.

Gwinnett Ballet Theatre will present the ballet Cinderella on March 3, 2012, at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at the Gwinnett Performing Arts Center. The production will be the first choreographed and produced by GBT’s new Artistic Director, Wade Walthall. Over 90 students of GBT and its pre-professional company members will perform.
