I dropped to my knees in prayer that I can find the money to pay the property tax bill which now has charges for county, school, stormwater, and the beloved (NOT) trash program. The overall increase for me was upwards of $700 and yes, I believe the trash fee IS a tax. I wonder where the over $300 for the trash fees will be deposited? Does it go to the bank account of the trash administration? How much does the county skim off? How much does is cost to run the trash administration? If I weren't a lady I might query "What a cluster ....!"

Butch Poss, Heard’s (formerly Bannister’s) henchman and Heard’s current campaign manager, made a big deal in a letter to the editor of the GDP that he was going to meet with Bannister to investigate the trash issue, now that it’s a done deal (DUH?). I’ve not “Heard” back regarding whether the money will be held in the General Fund (usable for just about anything – sure would be handy to cover current shortfalls until after the next election) or an escrow account as it should be. In any event, we need to stay focused here – my bet is that if Bannister gets his lock on the BOC with Heard’s guaranteed third vote that we’ll be seeing another even larger tax bill than you just received.
