Gwinnett Candidate Forum Hosted by Georgia WAND and Atlanta 9to5

Georgia Women's Action for New Directions (WAND) and Atlanta 9to5 are hosting a Gwinnett County Candidate Forum on Thursday, September 2, 2010. The forum, part of a 2010 Get Out the Vote Campaign, will take place from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at New Mercies Christian Church located at 4000 Five Forks Trickum Road, S.W., Lilburn, GA 30047.

All candidates, including Georgia Gubernatorial candidates and those from House Districts 102, 103 and 106, Senate District 5, and Congressional District 7 are invited to address issues such as tax reform, business development, work/family policies, unemployment, immigration, environment, education and nuclear arms.

9to5's Atlanta chapter was founded in 1983 with the mission is to improve the workplace for women and strengthen the ability of low-wage women in Georgia to win economic justice.
