Sterling USTA Team Finishes Top Ten at Nationals

The USTA 8.0 mixed doubles team from Sterling on the Lake, Newland Communities' award-winning masterplanned residential community in Flowery Branch, Ga., recently represented the south region at the USTA League Mixed National Championships in Tucson, Ariz. After winning the state playoffs in Augusta this past August by winning seven straight matches, the team traveled to Macon, Ga. for the sectional championships in October, where they finished 5-0 and won the Southern Champion title.

This tournament win earned them a spot at nationals, where they won two matches and finished as one of the top ten teams in the country. The Sterling team includes JT McSpadden, Amanda Wilcox, Sharon McSpadden, Michael Richards, Andrea Del Valle and Jeff Harper.
