Quinn House Receives Grant from Jackson EMC

Signs and Wonders/The Quinn House was awarded a $10,000.00 grant this week as part of Jackson EMC Operation Round Up. Operation Round up is a program where the EMC's customers round up their monthly bill to the next dollar. Jackson EMC then takes that money and awards it to charities within the 10 county area they serve.

Signs and Wonders applied for the grant money earlier this year and was notified this week of Jackson EMC's approval. Use of the money has two stipulations; it cannot be used any political purposes or to pay electrical bills. Signs and Wonders will use the funds for a new food storage facility on Hurricane Shoals Rd. in Lawrenceville.

Randy Dellinger, Jackson EMC Gwinnett District Manager, presented the check to Gene Brinkley, the Director of Signs and Wonders. Gene thanked everyone at Jackson EMC and especially their customers who made this grant possible. The new food storage facility will help thousands of Gwinnett county residents every year.
