Since its establishment in 1954, about 65,000 students have come from some 160 countries or regions around the world to study in Japan under the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Scholarship Program.

Duluth Middle and High Schools have joined the Gwinnett Lacrosse League. The league now has seven school districts represented; Collins Hill, Duluth, Grayson, Greater Atlanta Christian, Mill Creek, North Gwinnett and Peachtree Ridge.

Not exactly... but the sizeable and very active Hungarian community in Georgia, proud of the brilliant Hungarian scientists called "The Martians" who changed the world by contributing to science significantly in the twentieth century, is starting a new Atlanta tradition on February 12, 2010 with its most anticipated event of 2010, the Hungarian Carnival Ball, or Farsang.

Much of today's marketplace malaise is being blamed directly on fear. The fear of the unknown, the fear of new taxes, the fear of new regulations, etc. all have been cited as causes for the continuing worst economic period since the Great Depression. Real or imagined this fear has caused a paralysis in our business communities and delayed the inevitable recovery.

Gwinnett County Commission Chairman Charles Bannister issued the following statement concerning the cities' intent to file a legal motion against the State of Georgia involving service delivery negotiations between the County and the cities in Gwinnett.
